I think Van saw the makeup of demo leaders and watched the old dude demo response. Van is just sending up a flare that the old white guys in his party have got to step aside for younger, hipper and more “colorful” alternatives.
From what bench? Trump is such a paradigm changer that IMHO people will want someone like him, never to go back to a slip and fall lawyer like Schumer.
Sadly whoever follows PDJT will be like the next skater to follow Nathan Chen ( The young lad that is doing the Quad Jumps with record total scores ).
