Very suspicious transaction. No way they’ll sell more than a few thousand books, so the sellers are washing a lot of money.
“No way theyll sell more than a few thousand books, so the sellers are washing a lot of money.”
The way this works is, I want to give a politician a bribe for favors. I go to a publisher and say, I want to give Obama 10 million dollars. How much will you charge? This is over lunch or a drink. They will say 12 million dollars. The money has now been washed. The transaction is entirely legal, providing there is no evidence in writing about the negotiations; either between me and Obama or me and the publisher. Probably, the whole thing is handled through intermediaries.
They will sell about 100K copies with bulk book deals, library purchases and political gifting. That will leave the publishers 59 mill in debt. Funny, aint it?

They are selling their names basically. Advertising for a few years. 2 hardcovers and 2 softcovers. I’m sure the publisher will stretch that out over years and have the kenyan as the front man on their publications/PR.
Need to sell 2 million copies to break even. Not gonna happen.
