She obviously wanted to get the picture from down lower, but she was wearing a short skirt and improvised a position on the couch that was appropriate.

They need to persuade Laura Ingraham to come in and head up not only communications and messaging, but with a strategy role tied as well to Bannon’s overarching work.
It was interesting to see Trump give him and maybe his staff a ‘C’ on communications.
Let Carly run for senate in VA in 2018 and Laura play a key role in the WH. Then she’ll be a great position to run for governor of VA in 2020. That’d set her up beautifully for any higher ambitions from there, as she’d have burnished her executive credentials. (And she’d complete a full term at the same time she’d be completing a full term in the Senate.)
Bringing Laura in at that level would help to offset complaints of sexism if Kellyanne becomes less prominant in the admin, and also give Trump an excuse for her to clean house on the comm team—including the GOPe retreads, such as Karl Rove’s associate now heading up comms, that Priebus planted there.
Apparently they are too young to know what Bill Clinton (and perhaps JFK) are on record as doing in the Oval Office.

Kellyanne Conway is a petite woman. Her heels were not digging into the fabric. The couch cushions barely moved from her weight. Her heels DO NOT DIG into the fabric.
Females can be vicious. They see a 50 year old woman, after 4 kids, in excellent shape positioning her self in a pose that would be so uncomfortable physically for so many.
Where was the outrage when the 220 pound Moochelle sat on the sofa, causing it to squeak and groan? Where was the outrage when Bill and Hillary stole furniture and paintings from the White House to the tune of $800,000?

I agree. It shows a lack of respect and decorum, which I would expect from the Obama folks but not from the Trump folks. If she wants to sit like that at home, fine, but not in the Oval Office. Methinks Kellyanne may be getting a little too big for her britches.
Team Trump is doing just fine. It’s the “optics” of the media that needs working on.
It was not appropriate. She is not the White House photographer.

I agree that Kellyanne on the couch does detract from the photograph. Here's my question: Who took the picture? If it was the official White House photographer, why wasn't something said to Kellyanne before the picture was taken? Why wasn't she asked to either stand with the others for the photo, or move out of camera range before the photo was snapped? You would think the photographer would know that it was "bad optics."
One, second shot shows she is not wearing shoes. Two, it is clear what is going on here. Formal picture, “Kelly get out of the way”. But she wants a shot for herself....understand it completely. The shots of her there should never have gotten out.
Clearly there are hangers on who are willing to disrespect the office just to make Trump look bad. Continue to clean house.
