That, of course, was intended sarcasm. Bush II was a fish out of water and our choice between him and opponents who were much worse.
Going after Saddam and Iraq was the worst mistake made by any administration at any time and that’s really saying something. Bush II wins the Lousiest Speaker award and Bush I wins an award for beginning to shove the NWO down our throats.

In retrospect Gore or (gag!) Kerry might have been better than GWB. At least those two would have had a Republican congress with some semblance of brass ones to stand up to them. And they would likely have disgusted most Americans enough that the people would have revolted against liberalism/Democrats THEN instead of 2014 and 2016. Had the GOP at least run a better candidate in 2000, we might never have been plagued with Obama.
A few years of face-palming disbelief with Gore or Kerry, or The One's damage and destruction which we will be dealing with for DECADES still to come? Which is the better choice?

Going after Saddam and Iraq was the worst mistake made by any administration at any time and thats really saying something. The results of removing Saddam with to few troops to occupy Iraq were predictable. Bush was warned that it would all go south but Bush had a score to settle.
Saddam tried to assassinate W daddy. The Iraq war was all about pay back for Saddam trying to kill HW Bush. It had nothing to do with WMDs, that WMD thing was an just an excuse. George W Bush put the interest of his family above the interests of his country. The Bushes are all about family over country.
