I was just there, read the story...stroke suffered after heart surgery.
Didn't have to sign in.
It has one of those "rise-ups", as opposed to "pop-ups" for want of a better word, but it has a "X" on it and allows you read the story.
I've never had to sign in on those sites...backed out of a few because of their indignation over my having an Ad-Blocker on, but most of them will let you through.
