Your clothes. Give them to me. Now.

You know a great character actor when he's in at least a half dozen movies you've seen multiple times, and you have now idea who he was playing without IMDB.

LOL! Yep! I don’t know how that guy is alive. He even fell out of a tree a few years ago and bashed his head open and still he didn’t die.

Weird Science as older brother Chet.

First time I ever saw him in a movie.

Hatfields and McCoys was his absolute best.

Holy crap. I just watched the latest episode of his Training Day series a few minutes ago. This sucks. Rest in Peace Bill, and may the Lord comfort your family and friends.

Chet was evil. Greasy pork chop in an ash tray, turned into a pile of poo.

I didn’t know his name but every time I saw in in early movies I called him asshole, because he played Chet.

Loved Bill Paxton. That really is a lose.

"I’d just as soon not have seen this story anyway, being 61 and scheduled for abdominal surgery in a couple of weeks."

Prayers for a successful surgery, and a speedy recovery. I've had four abdominal surgeries since 2011. The last one was in October 2015, to have my gall bladder out. Because of the previous three surgeries, they couldn't do it by laser, but had to cut me open. I was 68 at the time, and couldn't help but worry about the outcome of the operation. My grandmother died on the operating table in a Canadian hospital back in 1946 from complications of gall bladder surgery. It still happens today. No surgery is ever safe. The only thing that has gotten me through it all has been prayers and trust in the Lord.

Exactly.

I was reading all the comments, specifically so I could make my own comment about that movie, “The Greatest Game Ever Played” which he directed+.

The “making of” (”extras”) stuff on the DVD/Blue Ray features Bill Paxton a lot, plus historical material since it is based on a true story, and it is good.

“The Greatest Game Ever Played” is an exceptional movie and is one of the best movies he was ever involved in, I think.

All this is notwithstanding “the movies” being an industry filled with weirdos, including the star of the “The Greatest Game Ever Played,” who was less weird back when he made that movie.

Hollywood produces some inspirational stuff despite itself, and we should acknowledge when it does something actually good.

You know it’s over when Keith takes the Long Nap.

I'm still not convinced that Abe Vigoda isn't even now enjoying margaritas on some secluded beach in Maui.

In for heart surgery and had a stroke and died..wow 61 years old.

Maybe the blood thinners they administer/prescribe after surgery didn't work.

Is this the Bill Paxton, Texas Ranger, that Marty Robbins sings about. (Humor)

“It does your reputation no good to state your ignorance.”

Strange comment.

When did not being familiar with an actor have an affect on a reputation?
