NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -
A driver plowed into a crowd of Endymion revelers Saturday, injuring several people.
The crash happened at about 6:45 p.m. at the corner of Orleans and N. Carrollton avenues. Police said initial reports show so far about a dozen people are in critical condition.
That number could rise, police said.
One person was arrested,according to FOX 8 reporter Rob Krieger.

The New Orleans Advocate newspaper reported the mass tragedy occurred at Orleans and Carrollton during the Endymion parade. You can watch a live stream from television station WVUE-TV above. A WDSU-TV reporter said it’s believed a drunk driver was at fault.
I won’t jump to any conclusions, but it sounds like a similar attack to Nice, France.
It’s Mardi Gras in NOLA. Sometimes the simple explanation is the best.
