You're right. As Richard Viguerie once remarked, those CFR clowns couldn't conspire their way out of a paper bag.

Yes and no. There are so many CFR members who just go along for the ride. Some of them are quite capable conservatives like Dick Cheeney and former UN ambassador Jean Kirkpatrick.

The inner circle of the organization is rotten globalists at its core, but even Reagan appointed some CFR members to high positions. The trick is to distinguish between the core and those along for the ride which is no easy task.
