You respond obliquely to my comment.
I said Christians love, not want, Divine power AND Authority, and I followed that with the explanation that we will gravitate towards a man that has those qualities.
It's actually taught in the scriptures that the man is to be like Christ and the woman in submission, a picture of the church AND a picture of the world.
There is no perfect man, but some men command attention (it's called "presence" ) just by emulating Godly qualities.
Godly qualities are not only the meekness and love of God, but His authority as well.
The books you love and read by dead men are just as "powerful" because anything that influences or changes the way a man thinks by altering his thought processes is as powerful as God Himself .... Who desires to do the same thing.
I see Putin as a gangster statesman who kills his political opponents for political and financial reasons, takes hunks of countries to distract the people and build an empire, as a dictator who has displaced 1.8 million Ukrainians, killed many innocents in Syria with indiscriminate bombing, killed over 10 thousand in Ukraine, and caused unnecessary conflict in Europe. You see him, it seems, as an admirable man with the blessings of the Bible, a paladin of Christ whose sins from the KGB Gulag days are washed away by his aggressive bombing campaigns. You and I just don’t see eye to eye on what a Just War is or what a Christian believes. I see the Christian Church as an advocate for individual human dignity and restraint on unjust power. I do not buy the idea that a state run Church like Putin’s is going to restrain him or even speak up for victims of the state.
