President Trump's new National Security Advisor doesn't believe it is "helpful" to say the phrase "radical Islamic terrorism."
President Trumps newly appointed national security adviser has told his staff that Muslims who commit terrorist acts are perverting their religion, rejecting a key ideological view of other senior Trump advisers and signaling a potentially more moderate approach to the Islamic world.
The adviser, Lt. Gen. H. R. McMaster, told the staff of the National Security Council on Thursday, in his first all hands staff meeting, that the label radical Islamic terrorism was not helpful because terrorists are un-Islamic, according to people who were in the meeting.

McMaster may very well believe that, but he is an advisor and Trump understands the distinction between advice and decision making.

Here’s an idea. We call on this very, very large majority to loudly and totally denounce those terrorists, denounce “CAIR”, denounce Sharia practices that are barbaric, denounce the treatment of women as property instead of asking us to us to tiptoe around. When we barely hear them speak out, except to criticize us and our insensitivity, we don’t feel too confident of their disagreement with the terrorists.

Exactly. Trump is aware of what McMaster and other cabinet members say, but it’s up to the POTUS to call the shots.

President Trumps newly appointed national security adviser has told his staff that Muslims who commit terrorist acts are perverting their religion
I love how Western liberal orthodoxy presumes to decide who is and isn't a true Muslim. Muslims are the only ones who can decide who is and isn't a true Muslim, and most Muslims consider their co-religionists who commit terrorist acts to be better than true Muslims - they consider them martyrs to the faith, eligible for special favors in heaven.
And regardless of what we think, the undeniable and indisputable facts remain: Muslim terrorists are sponsored, sheltered and supported by a large Muslim population all over the Mideast, Europe and increasingly in the US. Our deluded babble about whether they are or aren't true Muslims doesn't just ignore reality, it jumps up and down on reality and takes it's lunch money. The fact that the new NSA guy wants to join the liberal chorus in willful, enthusiastic blindness is not a good sign - Trump should have hung tough and kept Flynn.

Lets see what Trump and others around him, as well as McMaster say before making up our minds. However, if McMaster believes that terrorists will hate us more because of what we call them, I say that is preposterous. Good points dingdong..

Why don’t you ask Edmund Burke about your good Muslims?
All Muslims follow an evil psychopath—a terrorist and pedophile. Islam is inherently evil and violently opposed to free society. There can be no accommodation with such an ideology. Your “good” Muslims only enable the real Muslims to continue their depredation.

McMaster is an officer that fights and wins. Personally, i will give him plenty of leeway. Perhaps hes trying to not piss off all 1billion+ muslims as he helps dispatch the cavemen to Hades.
I am mulling your post... hoping there is a possible good outcome here...

Agreed. I was not happy after hearing him speak during Trump’s announcement. Doesn’t help that John McCain is a fan of his. *sigh* . Praying for Steve Bannon and others in the administration to be protected from any Flynn-style ouster attempts.

Thanks for that info. I didn’t know the author had such an anti-Trump track record. I did notice that, while directly quoting the NYT, he failed to note it as his source. How slippery. He wanted to make hay with Fake News without getting called out on it.

That’s what I keep telling myself. Donald Trump has lived a long life, he’s made his mistakes, he knows how people work - how leadership and compromise works...he knows what he’s doing. I need to humble myself and see how things unfold.
