President Trump's new National Security Advisor doesn't believe it is "helpful" to say the phrase "radical Islamic terrorism."
President Trump’s newly appointed national security adviser has told his staff that Muslims who commit terrorist acts are perverting their religion, rejecting a key ideological view of other senior Trump advisers and signaling a potentially more moderate approach to the Islamic world.
The adviser, Lt. Gen. H. R. McMaster, told the staff of the National Security Council on Thursday, in his first “all hands” staff meeting, that the label “radical Islamic terrorism” was not helpful because terrorists are “un-Islamic,” according to people who were in the meeting.

It would make it much easier to agree with the general if the good guys would denounce the bad guys.
He may not believe in “radical Islamic terrorism” but he sure has rubbed out more than his share of radical Islamic terrorists since the first Gulf War. As long as you know who they are, it really doesn’t matter what you call them.
Claiming terrorists are “un-Islamic” very much is.
First of all, it is a clear lie. Secondly, there is no hope of defeating the enemy if it isn’t acknowledged for what it is.
I knew this guy was trouble. Someone who has built his reputation against supposedly speaking truth to power—yet is lauded by the uniparty powers that be—is the last person Trump needs as his NSA.
If McMaster really said this, he is being insubordinate.
His boss was very explicit regarding Radical Islamic Terrorists in his CPAC speech.
Identify and remove the leak source with extreme prejudice and you will have cleared up several problems. I suspect we are going to see a good number of “questionable quotes” attributed to the inner circle before the leaks are plugged.
The good General is a much more accomplished man than me. I tend to view things rather simply. Simply put, how is it possible for entire nations to be of one “religion” if not accomplished by threat of force? Saudi Arabia being exhibit one.
Reading the Koran is enlightening.. it is not radical to convert, kill or enslave non believers. There are 30million slaves living today, mostly due to Islam, that would disagree with you. The only peaceful muslims are either, not true followers or in the minority. There are a handful or less, who believe Islam needs reforming. Islam is incompatible with individual freedoms given by our Creator.
You left off the fact that this all stems from an unnamed source as cited by the New York Times. You’ve got lots of people reacting to the Fake News paper of record. You must be so proud.

McMaster is straight out of the Council on Foreign Relations, as is his deputy, K.T. McFarland.
I don’t recall Pres. Trump seeking much advice from Ron Paul and Pat Buchanan. Where else would he go for the necessary expertise?
Don’t call it “radical” Islamic terrorism. But it MUST be called “Islamic” terrorism. It certainly isn’t Baptist terrorism. The terrorists always act in the name of Islam. That can’t be denied.
