The problem is quite simple. Donald Trump campaigned on the fact that he was willing to call the enemy what it is - Radical Islamic Terrorism. He railed against Hillary, Obama, and Kerry for refusing to use the term. He railed after Obama for Obama saying ISIL instead of ISIS. Kerry was mocked for using the term Daesh resoundingly here at FR. Yet here is his NSC pick telling the NSC not to use the term Trump uses and using the exact terminology that Trump bashed Obama and Kerry for using.
You sure are eager to establish the credibility of the NYT.
‘Political Islam’ is the term that our Arab allies have been using for what we call Radical Islam. Our generals working with them already use it, it won’t be surprising if Trump adopts it.

You haven’t provided me anything which would indicate their story is false except that it’s the NYT. Other info that we have at this point from a site that is conservative, from someone who served with him, and from the terminology that he has used in speeches (such as “ISIL” and “Daesh” which ere used by Obama/Kerry) seems to back it up. We also have strong establishment and MSM support which is the converse of Flynn. This is easily refutable, so if he didn’t say it, Trump or McMaster can release a statement.

I thought this guy was bad news. A guy who supposedly bucks the Establishment that all the Establishment raves about.
I watched a video of his waxing poetic about how our warfighters put themselves at risk and take casualties by putting themselves among locals as “humanitarians” protecting the locals above themselves. He was gushing about Obama’s pathetic rules of engagement.
Trump is going to be at the mercy of a staff that is not loyal to him and often doesn’t share his view. He has too often taken direction from Priebus to get party guys in there or he has fallen for the idea of getting praise for making such highly ‘qualified’ picks.
This could very well be a planted story to flush out leakers!!!!

If they are so “un-Islamic” shouldn’t the majority of Moslems agree and work to diminish their presence on the planet?
No, and they will not, because they support these murderers without getting their hands dirty or endangering themselves.

Not every FReeper does. Whole bunch of ‘em that didn’t seem to understand much of anything got banned during the primaries, so I wouldn’t use the phrase “every single” at all. A good amount did though understand, so that was great. I also did not initially understand, but I came around pretty quick, so I’m happy about that.
Far as the 60 million who voted for Trump, I’d give them the good nod, but that still leaves a huge number of people in this country that don’t seem to get it.
Far as whether or not this is true or not, I’m not sure. Trump has already had to put a few folks on staff that don’t seem to be exactly where he is on various things, Devos for instance, but that difference didn’t count for much in the end.
Trump is clearly doing the leading here.

Every day we get closer to the reality of a incremental, worldwide terrorist assault on the West, and civilization itself. Yet we still argue as to if there is even an enemy, much less an offensive war being waged upon us. We want not to appear either hypocritical, or anti-religious. And we apparently would rather pretend there is no coordinated cultural and religious jihad currently underway.
But yet again, the western press and all politically correct politicians would revel in and echo the term “christian extremists” or right wing no-fascist “christian terrorists”. I dimly remember how the Christian Phalangist forces were characterized, during the 1976 Lebanese Civil War.
So, just who’s feelings are we pretending to spare, when we pretend that the hairsplitting distinctions of whether or not one group “perverts” a religion or not? They, the Islamist Terrorists, believe that they are inspired, driven, certainly destined to wage eternal jihad on anyone not them?
Does it matter whether we spend any breath professing that we do not “blame” the Mainstream of the Islamic Religion? People are arming and motivating themselves to cause death and destruction in order to undermine and overthrow our civilization, as they have themselves repeatedly and clearly declared.
So, everyday we postpone the inevitable realization and all it portends that we are inviting that overthrow with our very policies and actions. The idiocy of increasing the level of importation of impossible to vet Syrian refugees literally stuns me when this is exactly the easiest and most economical way to effect an invasion of the west by those people. We welcome them into the bosom of our nation, and even pick up the bill for their transportation, food, health, shelter, and ultimate resettlement in our very neighborhoods.
The two men who were killed trying to commit a terrorist massacre at the Garland, Texas Cartoon Contest in 2015 lived about 6 blocks from my home in Phoenix, Arizona. So, where is even the psychological protection that once two great oceans provided our land against the “foreign invader?” How much easier can we make the destruction and subjugation of our people?
Sure, we have the Department of Homeland Security, and the FBI investigating potential terrorist conspiracies, in all 50 states on a continuous basis. But, doesn’t this factual statement imply that apparently our competent and powerful forces of domestic defense are really not in control of an ever worsening situation?
I once heard that there might be as many as 10,000 Hezbollah and Iranian planted sleeper operatives, living and working in the U.S., waiting for an inevitable terrorist uprising if war were to break out between the U.S. and Iran.
Is this true? Or is it just a rumor, a fabrication, or at least an exaggeration of their number? Perhaps, today it might be an underestimation?
Events that could ignite such a war are reported daily; air and naval provocations of ever increasing severity by Iran should illuminate their warlike intentions, but our blank faced and blind politically correct/corrupted leaders continue to pretend.
Remember this time, this era, as it will seem like some sort of heavenly golden age of peace and prosperity, before the “Grand Jihad” finally comes about.
Just wondering if there is another religion aside from (i)slam which spawns and breeds terrorists of about an equal amount?
