Industry pros, entertainers and civilians assembled by the hundreds today for United Talent Agencys United Voices rally outside the companys Beverly Hills headquarters.
Among the featured speakers at the event protesting Trump administration immigration policies was Oscar-winner Jodie Foster, who told the crowd that its time to engage.
As the very, very dead Frederick Douglass one said, Anytime is a good time for illumination,' Foster said. And this is the time for illumination. I believe this time is filled with light. UTA canceled its annual Oscars bash and organized the event after Donald Trump issued an executive order temporarily banning immigration from several majority-Muslim nations. The ban was repeatedly halted by Federal courts and the administration eventually abandoned it. Trump is expected to unveil another executive order on immigration some time next week.
UTA Oscar Protest Among those present were Rodrigo Moran and Meron Semedar from the advocacy group Refugee Nation. The duo were invited to attend by UTA, and carried with them a large orange flag designed by a Syrian refugee named Yara Said. Said, said Moran, based the flag on the life vest she wore while escaping from the war-torn Middle Eastern nation.
Im here to hopefully lend some credence to the notion that Donald Trump doesnt represent all of America, said commercial photographer August Gering. Hopefully, the majority of this country strongly disagrees with the things hes trying to do, and we wont stand for it.
Outlander star Sam Heughan was also on hand, telling TheWrap. Were just here, not to bash anyone. Europe, he said, wants the best for this glorious country. Americas such a great country, we look up to you guys and we know youll do the right thing.

Perhaps the fear of being sued for slander might keep them quiet? Since no action was taken when they were children there was no investigation and nothing documented. If they start making public declarations with no way of proving that it’s the truth, could they be sued for slander?
There’s got to be more to it than just that. Those people seem to be very protected in their circles.
DISENGAGE/DEFUND Hollywood.

The only Oscar’s I care about go into a hotdog bun. The other kind can pack sand like the rest of their little award back-patting ceremonies. We used to have the same things at work but they weren’t televised.
Jodie Foster. . .means nothing to me. . . I don’t recall seeing any of her performances. She is trying to regain relevancy which she probably never had anyway.
Yes. Wait until a movie comes to the library or is “free” on “Prime” movie. Sometimes you need to watch what the Leftists are up to though, so you can comment on their idiocy and keep track of their “narrative” they are forcing on the children.....like now—girls are boys are girls-—total irrationality where Slavery is Freedom.
It works for me and, honestly, I read so much now and it is so much better for the brain. I am reading “The Story of Monticello” and it is a great little book (found it at St. Vincent’s). It states, when Jefferson was in the House of Burgesses before 1776: “Another measure which he presented and which failed of action was a bill making it lawful for a master to emancipate his slaves, thus showing himself on this subject to have been nearly a century in advance of his times.”
It is refreshing to read such an interesting book rather than the Neo-Marxist revisionist books or the hyper-sexualized Neo-Freudian books designed to warp perceptions, corrupt the young, and embed hate for Founders (to erase the intellectual understanding of Objective Truth and Natural Law (our Constitution)).
I never found her particularly appealing either. She has kind of a weird, severe face. Not feminine at all.
Nope.
Nope.

Yeah, I heard about the Texas prostitute who walked into a bar, sat on a bar stool and slowly sank to the floor.
And to think, people around here were praising her not long ago for being a Hollyweirdo who keeps her opinions to herself.

Roughly about the same and last time I went to a theater. Watched “Shrek” with my 8 year old grand daughter.
I actually enjoyed the movie but had to take my hearing aids OUT to listen to it.
Fwench what, poodle?
You are not alone...
Oops, you beat me to it
