What’s holding this Economy up?
Mathematically, it’s toast.
For example, 2013, G7 it took $18 of debt to produce $1 of GDP. Not good.

Recently some doofus said a lack of wheat in Syria due to climate change affecting Russian wheat is what lead to ISIS.

I say a lot of the social climate is man made, from the barbary of narcissist baathists, to islamists or demographic policies like the China one male child policy...

Just like the last housing bubble/crisis, the government debt and pension obligation bubble/crisis is going to end badly as well - and almost nobody will be spared the pain....the only trick is knowing ‘when’ this will happen, not ‘if’.

Deutche Bank Report
It’s not coming up now.

Any city that hasn’t ended defined-benefit pension plans should have it’s elected officials replaced post haste. Only defined contribution - 401(k) type, with match - are acceptable in the modern era.

Basically, if you take Obama’s stimulus and the quantitative easings , you get very little growth comapred to what the measures were expected to produce.
