I actually don’t believe anybody has a right to be anything they want. If so I want to be 8 years old when I enter a movie so I can get the lower ticket price and I want to be 65 when I ride a bus. There should be a don’t ask don’t tell policy. If I can’t tell you are a man than do what you have too. But if you are taking off all your clothes, I can tell.
That is reasonable, and presumably it is what the author had in mind. However, that is not consistent with the laws/policies that are being enacted and/or repealed with such haste.
