I kid. This shouldn’t be shocking — if you’re a pragmatist, not a polemicist. Point one: Trump has been hinting at amnestizing DREAMers for months. Usually that takes the form of gooey pronouncements about having a big heart and how “great people that are here that have done a good job … should be far less worried” about deportation than criminals. Lately, though, the White House has showed its hand more clearly by declining to suspend Obama’s DACA program for DREAMers as part of its executive overhaul of immigration policy. All Rush is doing here is getting in line with a Republican president he already spends much of his time defending.
Point two: An immigration deal with Democrats that would trade serious enforcement upgrades for amnesty for DREAMers does make a lot of sense. If Trump needs to horse-trade with Democrats to get 60 votes in the Senate for more Border Patrol, more sophisticated means of tracking immigrants internally, and so forth, legalization for America’s most sympathetic class of illegals is an obvious possible concession, especially since Obama’s already granted them

He will certainly lose my vote if he gives amnesty to any illegal alien. If they are here illegally, deport them. If an employer hires them, fine the employer an amount that he won't easily forget. The illegals will self deport.
2) Many of them are criminals beyond just the violations of immigration law.
3) NO other country would tolerate "dreamers".

You’re painting everyone with the same brush very nicely. Here’s what I know. Five years ago I had a new roof put on my house. The crew was Mexican (I assume). Only one spoke English, and he barely spoke any at all.
Those guys did a great job. I didn’t find a single nail in my yard; they scoured the place. They worked hard, didn’t complain, and did their jobs.
There are lots of bad apples coming over. And there are lots of people who just want to work. So yes, relax Francis. A 10 year old kid who hasn’t done anything to anyone isn’t a criminal.
And as to your supposed Christian guilt? I doubt it.

We couldn't sit at the border, nor at airports taking down names and where the overstaying Visa holders were going.
I did what I could....working for,working on campaigns in many different ways as a kid and as an adult!) knocking on doors, calling from phone banks, being a bundler/raising money, even hoasting dinner parties for to talk up the candidate and raise money, and sending links to news articles as well as writing for two different Tea Party newsletters, licking envelopes and getting coffee when I was still in high school) donating to, and supporting candidates for all kinds of offices, since I was 21.

I argued with a couple of FReinds about this until 2:30 this morning. at the end, one of them insisted that I was a paid troll because I thought advocating DACA was a big mistake.
e-verify will fix everything, they insisted. e-verify, that weak ass tool from the obama administration.
I think this is a simple misstep by trump. he’ll quickly realize that he’s not getting any credit out of this, and undo it soon.
