My brother and I visited SFMOMA on 2/19. We needed a coffee break around 2pm and then went to Peets on Mission St: totally crowded. Then we went to Starbucks on 3rd St: totally empty with one rude cashier who got help from one kind cashier.. Bad experience just to get two espressos. I guess Starbucks does not care about quality of waiters.
Krispy Kreme was introduced here in the Boston area about 10 years ago-——and just didn’t go over. I have no idea why because DD donuts are dreadful.
We do have one small locally owned place nearby that has great donuts-——but there are not many of them.
DD swept through here, starting about 45 years ago and that was the end of some wonderful donut shops.
I love their coffee but wouldn’t care if they just disapperared.
.
The radical CEO of Starbucks is trying to bring down the business.
This is the first I’ve heard of this. Not going to Starbucks anymore. I just hope Peet’s doesn’t do something stupid like this too or I’m going to have to give up coffee.
We have a new Starbucks in the area - considering making a Help Wanted sign that says, “Legal Citizens Need Not Apply” to post near their place.
My “brand perception” of Starsucks hasn’t changed one tiny bit. Zero minus zero is still zero.
All they had to do was announce they would hire 10,000 veterans and their profits would have gone through the roof.
Yes the star@bucks boss is definitely going to @uck the company. The shareholders need to replace him with a competent pro- company person asap.
