Folks want to watch/listen to/read the news for the old fashioned -
1) Who,
2) What,
3) When,
4) Where,
5) How, and to a lesser degree
6. Why!
Instead, the MSM has tried to turn the front page into the editorial page. Major Headlines, not Major editorial comments from the editor/owner of the newspaper.
I saw this as I watched Public Information Officers (PIO) attempt to work with the press so that press releases and stories released were accurately represented. I have witnessed reporters in press conferences arguing with the presenters over the story then to see later the reporters incorrect view of the story published as if it were fact.
Don't believe what you read in the newspaper became my new reality. Today, I don't waste time on news other then what I can gather from original sources.
We do not learn our best history from high school history books, we obtain our best history from first person accounts, documents/correspondence of that day, photography drawings capturing details of the event. We do not receive our best history from a filtered representation. Example, the Civil War was not about slavery, rather it was a clash between the Industrial North and the agrarian South; a clash over State's rights vs. Federalism. The Civil Was was not a battle of good vs. evil, for most of those fighting from the South were more God-fearing then the Yankee soldiers.
Cheers to Mr. Trump for standing the ground for each of us. He takes to the podium and defines Bully Pulpit each time he speaks. He honed those skills in all those campaign rallies, and his energy comes from the millions that continue to voice our strong and loud support for him.
