U.S. President Donald Trump's administration plans to consider almost all illegal immigrants subject to deportation, but will leave protections in place for immigrants known as "dreamers" who entered the country illegally as children, according to official guidelines released on Tuesday.
The Department of Homeland Security guidance to immigration agents is part of a broader plan for border security and immigration enforcement in executive orders that Trump signed on Jan. 25.
Former President Barack Obama issued an executive order in 2012 that protected 750,000 immigrants who had been brought into the United States illegally by their parents. Trump has said the issue is "very difficult" for him.
The Republican president campaigned on a pledge to get tougher on the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants in the United States, playing on fears of violent crime while promising to build a wall on the border with Mexico and to stop potential terrorists from entering the country....

Deal breaker for me too. He promised it would be gone on day1.
For now.
Exactly what I would like to see happen.
I’m okay with it, but they need to stop taking applications for it.
Agree 100%
OK thanks for info. Horrible.
Yep, if Freepers are so easily twisted by known sources of Fake News, then what does that say about the average American??
If that is the case, then it’s only a matter of time before the media again brainwashes the masses into voting for the next clinton/obama/carter...
“Distrust, then verify”
Some of these morons lap this Fake News up.... as if they were starving to death.
Many are trolls, many are Never-Trumper Butt-hurt cry babies looking for the slightest thing to hang their hat on.
~~Trump 2020~~
No. I have zero problem with DACA being a low priority. There are 30 mil illegals, give or take. We have a whooooole lot of deporting to do. Doing the 750K so called “dreamers” now would just be a distraction. Plenty of other deportees queued up.
Okay... what did Sean say?
Yup. Somebody gets it. Thanks.
I see no reason to give these "Dreamers" (Nightmares would be a better term) special privileges. They all should be deported.
The nevertrump contingent weighs in yet again.
Yup. The conjecture and subsequent threats are amusing... childish actually. Buncha babies.
There were a couple of questions prior to this but copying and pasting them all would have covered a page. I included the link and you can read his answers to all the questions. And after previewing this, his questions prior to this one probably give you better information.
Q Let me follow. The President has also, and his team has also had reservations about undocumented people in the United States who are beneficiaries of public assistance or access to benefits, either at the state or the federal level. What is the President going to be doing to either issue guidance or executive action of some sort to indicate that he would like to preclude that from continuing?
MR. SPICER: I think we have talked in the past about the respect that the President has for taxpayer money with respect to sanctuary cities and the enforcement measures that he’s putting forward on immigration. Right now, obviously, the actions today are focused on people who are in this country and what we need to do on our southern border to facilitate the building of the wall that he’s talked about.
So we’re doing this one step at a time in a very methodical way, and right now the focus is to make sure that ICE and CBP and DHS have the authority and the resources to carry out that first mission. We will have more — and then continues to see that immigration is one of those issues that he was very, very clear and consistent on in the campaign, and we’re going to continue to implement the policies that he talked about to keep the country safe.
It is a strategy of choosing what hill you want to fight on first. Get the DHS and ICE back to enforcing the laws and deporting the dangerous criminals. Then build the wall and put up barriers to employment for illegals.
By this time, many of the 900K with deport orders will be gone, and the population will be tired of the MSM latest sob story of the day. Then let the “dream order” run out, dont renew it and the tools to deport will be in place.
In essence, focus the $$ you have now on the worse and go after the rest later.
First, it’s Reuters.
Second, omission does not mean that Trump will not do anything.
Third, Trump is still authorizing the capture and deportation of over 90% of the Illegals. How many other Republicans can make that claim - and how many campaigned on that?
Fourth, the media and the GOPe know that the ONLY WAY to weaken and ultimately force Trump from office is to sever the bond that we have with him. As long as we support him, HE IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE. Do we REALLY want to play into their hands?
Fifth, Trump has been clear that DACA was a tough issue for him. He may well come up with something acceptable to all of us.
Finally, considering all Trump has done - starting with KEEPING HIS PROMISES, it will take a LOT MORE than silence on DACA to make me a NeverTrumper - but I guess that’s not the case for many here.
If they’re assets to this country, let them stay. If they’re burdens, kick them out.
This is not a difficult concept.
This forum is infested with nevertrump trolls, establishment shills, and CTR agitators. Intelligence isn’t entering into the question so much.
