Speaking of Flynn - there are things about this whole affair I don’t understand.
Flynn would have known that communications with the Russian ambassador were bugged. Wasn’t there some way he could communicate in a safe space? And since he didn’t, he would have known that the IC would have a record of what was said. So why did he lie to Pence, and put him in that false position, since he (Flynn) knew that he was a target and what he had said to Pence would be shown to be false?
It doesn’t make any sense.
None of it makes sense when even the media articles conclude he didn’t promise to overturn the sanctions. We know the leakers who leaked to the WaPo have a copy of the call transcript. Why not leak it if its so damning? Trump knew about this a couple weeks prior and didn’t even think it was a big enough deal to tell Pence, yet suddenly he fires him because Pence is offended (when per Trump he didn’t do anything wrong)? None of it makes sense except an ally was replaced who was in the trenches for a year with Trump, and the media gloated.
