On Thursday, President Donald Trump named Alexander Acosta as his new nominee for secretary of labor the same man who cut a sweetheart plea deal with billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein in 2008.
Acosta, while working as the top federal prosecutor in Miami, agreed not to file any federal charges against Epstein who was accused of having sex with dozens of underage teen girls in exchange for him pleading guilty to state charges of soliciting prostitution and soliciting a minor for prostitution. The infamous pedophile had been accused of recruiting dozens of underage girls into a sex-slave network. Epstein was known for flying wealthy friends, including Bill Clinton, on his private plane dubbed the Lolita Express, to a private Caribbean island, known as Orgy Island. According to flight logs, Bill Clinton flew on Epsteins private plane 26 times from 2001 to 2003. It was alleged that Epstein had hidden cameras all over his property so that he could film prominent people having sex with the minors for use as blackmail material.
Despite the incredibly disturbing allegations in his case, Epstein was only sentenced to 18-months in a county jail. He ultimately served around 13 months, much to the dismay of his victims who filed a lawsuit over the handling of the case in 2008. The Government and Epstein conspired to conceal the NPA (non-prosecution agreement) from the victims to prevent them from joining any objection, and to avoid the firestorm of controversy that would have arisen if it had become known that the Government was immunizing a politically-connected billionaire and all of his conspiracies from the prosecutions of hundreds of federal crimes against minor girls, attorneys for Epsteins victims wrote in a court filing for their lawsuit against the government. LawNewz notes that recent filings in the case also raise legitimate questions about what else prosecutors would have discovered if the federal investigation had not come to an abrupt end with the promise of no prosecution by the feds. Acosta is not named in the lawsuit over the handling of the Epstein case, but it will surely become a heated topic during his upcoming confirmation hearing.
Oh...crap!
Good.Grief. Who is advising President Trump to choose such a reprobate for his Cabinet? Anyone who has been in a Bush administration should be automatically disqualified.
I admit to being sickened by the way high ranking pedos get their wrists slapped. I’d like to know more about how this guy facilitated the deal or whether he too was given an offer he couldn’t refuse. Because Epstein was not the top of the pedo chain here. His boss must have put unholy “pressure” onto this deal.
Trump was elected to drain the swamp, not to restock it with the same old gators.
wow a candidate worse than Pudzer.
Trump covering up Pizzagate.
I firmly believe Epstein was just a small, albeit important cog, in a very vast machinery. Blackmail incorporated....
I hope not, but......
Trump should withdrawl his name asap.
Agreed. He was a big dog as he was doing all the dirty work, but he was made very rich and had all the “fun” he wanted along the way.
And his audio and video collection went to whoever his boss(es) is(are).
Despite the incredibly disturbing allegations ...
Allegations don’t make a case. There may not have been enough hard evidence to convict him.
Epstein is worth a lot of money and could afford the lawyers to get him off. It’s what they do. He may have walked without serving any time if for not striking a plea deal.
I won’t bash him without having more facts.
Cog
Isn’t this just dandy. : (
This is all in President Trump’s master plan to put the Clintons in prison.
Acosta will have a confirmation hearing and at that hearing Republican senators will ask him all about Epstein and Epstein’s involvement with Bill Clinton.
He will be under oath and have to tell the truth.
“There may not have been enough hard evidence to convict him.”
They convicted him in a state court over what definitely should have been a Federal prosecution. They had the evidence. The Feds bowed out under Acosta. Or, more likely, he was given an offer he couldn’t refuse.
LOL.
You forgot the sarcasm tag...
“This is all in President Trumps master plan to put the Clintons in prison....”
You really expect the Republicans to ask him those kind of questions? I would be very surprised if they had the guts to do so. Epstein is protected by some very powerful and...dangerous people.
Ping me when any Senator asks him any question about Epstein. Less than one in a million chance.
