Sen. Rand Paul seemed thoroughly impressed with the Trump administrations first thirty days during his appearance on ABCs This Week. When asked about the Presidents performance the Senator had this to say:

The money quote.
Has there every been a successful imposed democracy? People have to want it.
On second thought: It can be argued that we forced democracy on Japan, and that has been successful. Still, I don't think it has ever worked among savages.
I used to have a high regard for McCain. Much of it was influenced by his selection of Sarah Palin, who I still adore.
Now I see McInsane as one of the Swamp rats that is lining his pockets with money from lobbyist for the defense contractors. If you watch him, you can tell he wants a military mission to enrich the defense industry. McInsane is not bright enough to hide his bias like he could in his younger days. President Trump has triggered him to go into hysteria mode as he sees his gravy train coming to an end. This has destroyed his chameleon effort to hide his true identity as an influence peddler for the military industry.
What is even more dangerous for McInsane is that he is being closely monitored as he garners support for his selfish interests. Influence peddling is just as unlawful as it was for der Hildebeast who learned the art in the Senate.
Rand Paul is a US Senator from KY, his father ( Ron Paul) WAS in the US house of Reps.
I wasn’t trying to be snotty VERY SORRY if my reply came off that way!!!
I appreciate this too.
natural allies
they really should team up on taxes, the fed, foreign policy, and healthcare...
Well said.
“Rand Paul might not be right on every issue...”
True, but everything he says here is spot on.
Senator McCain supported the al Qaeda jihadists in Syria financed by Gulf Arabs-Saudi Arabia.
These countries have $$$$$$ and buy products from the defense contractors in this country who have supported McCain’s political career.
McCain’s jihadists committed atrocities in Syria, but unlike ISIS they didn’t make videos.
And of course the civil war fueled by McCain’s buddies in Syria spawned ISIS.
When I consider everyone murdered by ISIS, raped by ISIS, made into a refugee by ISIS and all the terrorism spawned by ISIS I remember one of those who is partly responsible for it all.
JOHN MCCAIN.......
Part of the reason he's been marginalized so.
He probably considers it one of his worst mistakes.

Well, this would be a reason for him to ALLY with Trump, because Trump wants to beef up the military.
Yeah, he probably wasn’t counting on such a strong Sarah. He misunderestimated her, even though she was the force that brought his ticket as close to winning as it got.
Yeah, he definitely panicked when he got close to winning. He promptly threw the election again, like he was paid to do.
But about allying with Trump... McCain is not a real hawk. He’s a forever conflicted soul trying to be half hawk half dove in a confused and self-contradictory manner.
Here, I have to disagree. I always say that as bad as Obama was, it is best McCain lost. With that reckless ahole, America'd be a smoldering radioactive crater now.
Well, he certainly played the interests in a conflicted manner.
I could wish that McCain would be all hawk or all dove. This crazy Frankensteined creature we have is not credible for either purpose.
It’s hard to say, hard to say. A President McCain could have gone wild, could have gone insane, could have quit. I think only God can scan internals well enough to say.
One thing you can count on: McCain stays bought. The Globalists have bought him; he’ll stay Globalist.
Actually, God exists outside of time, so He knows what you are going to do already. We still have free-will, but God gets a sneak peak. :)
Which would mean we wouldn’t really know where the bigger wagers are, anyhow.
But he is in the “trying to serve two masters” situation if so. Maybe the trauma of wartime torture left him psychologically dependent on people pleasing even if they weren’t all pleased with the same thing. I would pity him as a soul but politics is the supremely wrong thing for McCain to be in for that sake. He should quit.
