So glad to here this, will really impact our state.
It is a state law that you have to have car insurance, so many don’t, so we have to carry uninsured motorist coverage, just not right.
Illegals can’t get DL so NO insurance.
Plenty of them driving around unlicensed. The noose is beginning to tighten. Imagine it will get tighter and tighter with new regs coming out frequently.....
It’s a state law here that one needs to have insurance, too. Unless someone is stopped by a LEO for a traffic violation, then they can probably skate.
Problem is states like CA that issue illegals driver licenses. I read not too long ago that there used to be a separate license for them, but the gov or lawmakers changed it and everyone gets the same license. Of course, that automatically puts them in the voting base (Clinton’s Motor Voter law, which I think needs to be changed). I think some states have folks check a box that they are a legal citizen, but if a person doesn’t read English or someone at the DMV tells them to check it, well....just sayin’. I haven’t been to the DMV in a while, but I seem to recall the last time I was in one that info, etc. was available in various languages. IMHO after the 2018 election, a law should be passed that English is the official language of the US and all voting ballots, DMV forms, etc., would only be in English.
