I found out the hard way my SS had been stolen used by someone with the last name of Lopez OMG trying to get this straightened out WAS A MESS!!! Had to hire attorneys to deal with IRS and SS then of course my credit history!!! It has been 9 years and till this day it STILL comes back to haunt me EVERY TIME I file my taxes!!! Our government is TOTALLY incompetent!!!!
