Trump currently dismisses climate change as a hoax invented by China, though he has quietly sought to shield real estate investments in Ireland from its effects.
But at the Republican presidential contenders Palm Beach estate and the other properties that bear his name in south Florida, the water is already creeping up bridges and advancing on access roads, lawns and beaches because of sea-level rise, according to a risk analysis prepared for the Guardian.
In 30 years, the grounds of Mar-a-Lago could be under at least a foot of water for 210 days a year because of tidal flooding along the intracoastal water way, with the water rising past some of the cottages and bungalows, the analysis by Coastal Risk Consulting found.

I’m in Central Nebraska. I should be about about a 100 miles from the beach by now.
JUST SUBSTITUTE LONDON AND VARIOUS OTHER BRIT CITIES NAMES ON THE BOTTOM
AND ONTHE LEFT
THE NUMBER OF MUSLIMS....
they should be more worried about that...
There was some dingbat who swore Central Texas would be under water by 2010.
“could” does not equal “will”, when talking about something that could happen or will happen. I can use the word “could” in all sorts of sentences to scare the crap out of anyone, but since I can’t prove any of it, I don’t.
As an American citizen who has never believed in Anthropogenic Global Warming I would like to offer my personal response to the news that Scott Pruitt is now in charge of the EPA: Ah hmm, a ha, a ha ha ha, ha haw, ha ha ha, ha Ha, Ha Ha, Bwhahahaha, HA HA, HEE HEE, HO , HO, MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Not to worry, the Earth killing Asteroid will strike long before that happens.
IT’s interesting how the sea level is only rising in Florida.
The ultimate “feel-good” fake news story for liberals.
I remember the headlines in 1979—we will be out of natural gas in the USA by 1985.
32 years later, and we are exporting it.
he could kill two birds with one stone by promoting sexual diversity and hire some dikes
And in 1985 the same loonies were warning of an impending ice age.
If you look at almost any historic landmark on the water along the East Coast, West Coast, or Gulf of Mexico you will find some far fetched excuse from leftists about why each of them does not appear to be sinking into the ocean. It seems that nearly every historic landmark in the United States is located on ground that is rising at nearly the same rate as the seas. This probably includes President Trump's properties so I don't think that he has a lot to worry about.
Liberals see the future, and will be just as wrong as they’ve always been.
Even the rich liberals don’t really believe this stuff. If they did, they would be dumping all THEIR beachfront property on the market and it could be snatched up for pennies on the dollar.
One could beat the absence of logic in this with a stick all day long.
According to Al Gore it should have already been under water!!!
What are celebrities in Malibu with beachfront property doing about this crisis?
It is amazing how sea level rise only happens where coastal erosion and subsidence occures.
Ft Mantanzas! I’ve been there several times!
Need to go again.
Upthread someone was talking about the ‘canal towns’ of Florida.
Look around Ft. Lauderdale/Dania Beach.
We bought our sailboat there a couple of years ago. One of the boats we were looking at (a 31ft Cabo Rico) was in one of these canals a good 5 miles from the ocean. There looks to be more water there than streets! (but I could be exaggerating)
