This morning, as has been the case for weeks now, over half of the articles have been about Catholic church inside baseball. While I'm sure that is of interest to some, it merely squeezes out stuff that is more interesting to others. While I appreciate the importance of the topics to a few, let's keep in mind that it is not at all to others. I don't want to start a flame war but the nuances of some Latin-named paper by some unknown cardinal in a village in Germany (just a hyperbolic example) are wholly unimportant to this good old Protestant. There is a specific forum for discussion of religion.
I am Catholic and freaked out about the constant Catholic posts. I think Francis is Satans handmaiden. But I don’t need to read about the fall every day. Weird why one posts something intimate to a part of the population on this site.
I agree, but on the other hand, as an old “Catholic”, it is fun finding I am a Saint or Sinner depending on the current “Pope’s” digestion.
All the ones I saw were in the religion forum maybe you should check your settings.

I’m Catholic, very interested in and affected by the topic, BUT I agree with you. This subject belongs in a different forum.

Catholic news is important to Catholics and many others. But not all, and it is not news in the political sense.
I do not find it annoying, but just skip over it.
Yes...there has been an increased amount of prayers being posted on threads that have nothing to do with religion.... a few weeks ago reading the different post having to do with hunting I think....PLEASE ..DON’T PREACH
Are you sure you are looking at only News/Activism articles? I know there are many Catholic-related articles about the Pope in Religion, but I have not seen any over the past couple of days in News/Activism.
Yes. This. It not just catholic stuff. All religious discussion should be kept to the religion forum, and FR needs a way to stop religion forum articles showing up in latest posts and latest comments. Its not news.

The problem is that these religion forum posts show up under "latest posts" and "latest comments" It's a bug with FR that they need to fix. The religion posts shouldn't show up in the general population of posts.

The “inner workings and hidden mechanisms” are rather astounding to the unwashed out here in the pasture. At least to myself they are... But to be honest having a page just for these articles would help to organize the material for the casual reader. That said, I filter with the “everything” option, so I would see it regardless.
