President Trump on Thursday falsely claimed he had the biggest Electoral College win since former President Ronald Reagan.
"I guess it was the biggest electoral college win since Ronald Reagan," he said during a heated press conference at the White House.
"In other words the media is trying to attack our administration because they know we are following through on pledges that we made and they're not happy about it, for whatever reason. But a lot of people are happy about it."
But, in 2012, former President Obama received 332 electoral votes, and in 2008 he won 365 electoral votes.

Running the US government is not like being a contestant on Alex Trebek’s Jeopardy. I hope the President remembers that he is being graded on the following:
1. Faithfully executing the laws
2. Preserving, protecting, and defending the Constitution
Oh sigh how the Media will have a firestorm with this as they do on all issues Trump-related. It’s certainly a good thing we don’t have that former Arkansas Attorney General (who raped Juanita & thus since he was responsible for prosecuting such crimes he didn’t do so) running the First Lady’s office.
I understood him to say that as a republican he received more EC votes than any other republican since RR.
Wow, and this is all the Hill got out of this? Mindless bunch of fools at the Hill.
I,too, wish Trump would stop dwelling on the election and his victory, close or not. It makes people feel like he’s only interested in glorifying himself and not making America great again! He also needs to drop twitter. It’s a demeaning platform for the leader of the free world! Just get on with business and let your friends defend you, man!
Which is still *not* true
Trump should have just mentioned the states that he won, and how he lost MN by a small margin. He should know himself that Obama and Bush SR got more Electoral Votes than he did. They’re going to go after all of his statements, so he shouldn’t give them any factual errors.

How’d that work out for GWB?
IIRC, Obama's big quote was..."I won!!"
“We won states that Republicans have not won since the 1980s”
That simple. And use “we” as in the people not “I” as in him
This is the type of useless reporting that passes for journalism these days! Trump scored the most electoral votes of any Republican presidential nominee since 1988 (George H. W. Bush received 426 electoral votes).
So technically, his statement was incorrect. Big deal.
As usual you have NO clue just who Trump was talking to... Hillry Clinton of course... the mouth piece of the democrat party... who IF she could, would abolish the 'constitutionally' required 'electoral college'... All those 'fraudulent' votes she got could not pull her over the 'electoral college'... but, big daddy, you just keep on doing what you are prone to do, trash Trump. You are a bigger baby than Hillry.
OMFG
This is EXACTLY what President Trump was talking about, when it comes to the duplicity of the 'news' media.
Here's MY take on the presser: "MAGNIFICENT! DJT at the Press Conference"
Trump supporters take him seriously but not literally.
Trump enemies take him literally but not seriously. They are crapping their pants that he is busy trying to keep his campaign promises.
"Ceterum censeo Islam esse delendam."

Read my synposis of the press conference. For the press to focus on such a small thing, it boggles the mind.
He throws something like this out there and the MSM goes nuts for 3-4 days.
He might be diverting their attention from something he doesn't want them dwelling on.
He does this sort of thing too often for it to be simply happenstance.
Hopefully someday he will quit mentioning it all the time. Unless it’s a diversion tactic.
He didn't. I listened to the presser in its entirity. It was one pair of sentences in a one-hour, seventeen-minute presser.
The press, as usual, lies by omission and commission.
Don’t mean to pick at nits here but the reality is his margin of victory ranks 46th out of 58 elections.
Why is this important? Why can’t the media deal with the important issues the US is facing?
