Same here. Cut the cord three years ago. Haven’t regretted it once. Was worried about ability to watch sports, but there are streaming services that show sports and do very little ‘commentary’.

Reminds me of an event that happened in World War One—the US Government wanted the media and people to call the US Soldiers “Sammies” (after Uncle Sam) just as the British called their soldiers Tommies. The newspapers followed orders—many of the songs used the new nickname—But the Men in Uniform hated it—so did the people.
