Right now we have narrowed it down to Clear Lake and Woodland.
Woodland is closer and its Fairgrounds are open.
We don't know what's available in Clear Lake or any of the communities around it.
Hotels and motels are booked up everywhere we've looked so far.
Personally, I can sleep in my truck with our 3 dogs.
My wife, however, needs a bed to sleep in. She is battling fibromyalgia and even on a good day she wakes up to excruciating pain.
Does anyone have family or friends we might be able to stay with (or at least my wife) for a few days?
We are housebroken and I am able-bodied with handyman skills.
We are willing to pay and work for our keep.
My workplace has shut down for the week. It sits right at the base of the Feather River so it will likely be flooded should the water reach Yuba City. Money will be tight but we can tap into our retirement savings if necessary until I get back to work or find work as the case may be.
Feel free to FReepmail me and I will give you my email address and cell phone number. I will keep any and all correspondence confidential.
Thank you for your prayers and whatever assistance you may be able to provide whether it be a place to stay or advice on other options we might have or your personal experience in a situation like this.
I am normally a pretty clear thinker but right now, my brain is unable to focus.
Please pray for wisdom and clearheadedness.
We have total faith in God and we give Him the praise and glory in advance for His provision in this season of our lives.
God bless you all.
I’m so sorry, Texas Eagle. Prayers to you and your family.
Praying fervently. 4 states away so that’s what I can do. I pray all your family, friends and co-workers survive and WITH that retirement savings intact.
Prayers for you and all. I wish I knew of people near your are or even in CA. Praying FRs in CA will have ideas for you, your wife and all.
Prayers for you and everyone in the area.

Sorry, I have no way to help, but I will pray for you and your family and friends that are affected.
In fact someone else raised the Oroville situation as a prayer request in Sunday School on Sunday.
Prayers!
Praying.
Prayers for you and your wife, brother. Too far away to offer shelter, but I have asked the Lord for His blessings and comfort for you, and for the others like you who are facing this time of trial.
Our family is praying for you and all the people in the potential flood path.
God bless you and protect you and all others there. May you all be placed on a path to your highset good.

IL here. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Texas Eagle. Hopefully some Cali Freepers see this post and are close enough to offer some assistance. Please keep us updated on how you guys are doing.
Prayers for you and family...and all those affected by this pending disaster. I have friends in Redding (just moved away from Sacramento) who have a large church family. Don’t know how far away you would go?
Prayers for you, your family, friends, and neighbors as this potential tragedy plays out. Here’s hoping everything works out for the best, that you find a welcoming place to stay, and that you can return home soon. Best wishes.
Prayers for you and your wife, Texas Eagle. I live too far away and wrong direction to help.
May God protect and guide you, now and always.
Praying for you!
Just to be safe, we are keeping our vehicles packed up and sleeping with one eye closed tonight.
But I'm going to enjoy the crap out of this beer!
