Last night, the Grammy Awards got political from the very start and celebrities like James Corden, Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez, and Busta Rhymes decided to use the award show as an opportunity to lecture Americans about politics.
However, there was one moment that made headlines that had nothing to do with politics.
Check out what Chance the Rapper did during his acceptance speech that resonated with millions of Americans.
From Townhall:
Chance the Rapper had quite the Sunday night. He won three Grammysfor Best New Artist, Best Rap Album for his album Coloring Book, and Best Rap Performance for his song No Problem. And in a refreshing change of pace during a night full of various political screeds, all he wanted to do was praise the Lord. During his acceptance speech for Best New Artist, Chance the Rapper spoke openly about his faith and his thankfulness for Gods blessings. Good stuff.
You can watch the full speech here.

Its not every day we see celebrities wearing their faith on their sleeve like that.
A very nice change of pace.
Liberals must be getting near suicidal about now. They’re bound to realize they don’t have the iron lock on American culture the way they thought they did.
A real, thoroughgoing Christian would not win a Grammy in 2016/17. If he/she somehow managed to win one, they would be either met with total silence, or booed off the stage!!
All this audience wants to hear is “hate Trump”, “impeach Trump”, “welcome ‘refugees’”, “NoBanNoWallNoRaids”, etc., etc.
PHOOEY to them!!!!

It’s neither good nor bad.
Many of us keep our faith among those we trust and love. Sleeves are for comfort and warmth. Faith is much more personal.

This is not news.
It’s long been common for lefty “artists”—no matter how foul mouthed-—
to thank (their) god for their “talent.”
And it’s not news that their doped up lefty followers are impressed by this show of “faith.”
This is not music
hthat was my first thought... but this one is different... more than the, "i want to thank God." on another note, his father worked for Barack Obama and now is Deputy Chief of Staff for Rahm Emanuel...
“tahm bout”
I need an interpreter.
A fellow church member, a musician in our worship/music team, told me tonight that Chance the Rapper was a hard core Christian.
Ooh. Really? Hmm.
Talking about.
You have got to be kidding me.
/flunked ebonics
Boy, these Grammy awards sure turned out different than they had planned.
/snark off
talking about
Das wut ahm tahm bout.
He also brought up two guys with him (one guy looked he could have been in Metallica) and said he didn’t get there by himself. He apparently never signed with a record label and released and controls all his own music, which is pretty smart and amazing.
He’s new at attending awards shows and winning awards.
Wait ‘till liberal Hollywood “sets him straight”. He won’t be recognizable and he’ll be repudiating God and his family and will be embracing the village mentality. That is, if he wants to continue singing and selling his music and “winning” awards.
