Thanks Tomkat and Fatima and all others. The lake level is dropping and almost below the emergency spillway. That should happen in the next half hour. Then the helicopters come in and start dropping rocks to fill the gap. Traffic is still heavy along our little country road. Lord knows where these people think they are going. Been like that for hours. Looters downtown.
Just checked out the door. The traffic has died down to nothing on the road outside out property. We can’t see the road, only hear it as we are nestled in away from the road.

It’s all surreal. We were working like bandits this afternoon. I was down in the barn and kept hearing traffic. Strange but maybe folks were up checking out the dam or something, but it never ended. Wife turned on the radio and on the news was Oroville Dam. Well we never heard the telephone message cause out land line goes out during rains and cell service is crappy, but we were notified as we are in the Red Zone. By the time we heard to evacuate it was too late...

God bless you and your wife. I just checked news reports. They are now saying the dam is is not in danger and it is only the spillway that needs repair. But, who knows what the real story is.
