I know virtually nothing about Hungary, but it sounds like they are quickly becoming one of the leaders of the Free World. Though if I can recall correctly, they don’t have much of an economy, Army and I don’t know the size of the population. But it sure seems like they make up for it in heart.

For centuries Hungary was under boot of the Muslim Ottomans. Then came the Austrians. Then came the Soviets. It’s worth noting that on Oct. 23, 1956 Hungarians rose in rebellion against their Soviet occupiers. It failed, of course. But it does show the Hungarian spirit. Oct. 23rd is now a national holiday in Hungary.

Hungarians remember their history.
