I’m not soured on Cruz. He’s super smart and conservative too. He also held off from attacking Trump at the start when all the RINOs thought it was all so funny. He and Trump got into it later when they were the only two serious candidates remaining, but that was petty stuff. I would happily have supported a President Cruz.

I couldn’t have voted for him and I won’t be able to vote for him in the future if he gets nominated for President.
He is not a natural born citizen.

He and Trump were basically allies early on, they appeared at that one rally together against the Iran treaty, one also can find articles speaking of backroom discussions between the two. A so-called Bromance, stronger than just holding off attacking Trump.

I think Cruz is courting publicity but there is nothing inherently wrong with this. Right now, Senators such as Tom Cotton are up and coming as well.

Cruz, Gowdy, Sessions and Lee and a few others all seem fairly reliable per having a conservative vote. I’m not out to flatter any of them, it just seems they are largely solid in their views.
