What they dont tell you is many mexicans want to go to prison, especially federal prison. In the federal system they like to keep the prisoners busy and tired so they created UNICOR Industries. At Leavenworth the factory kept 5-600 inmates working on government furniture, shoes and boots, printing forms, tshirts, etc. I had mexicans telling me if they piss off the judge they can get 5 years factory work making 3 to 500 dollars a month working piece work with overtime and longevity pay and send it all home because they cant make as much on the street, in prison they get free medical room and board movies and recreation tv even pool hall and barbershop, also free clothes and washing. Many of them get all new dentures and glasses for free. So dont pity the poor illegal going to prison.

Trump should be able to turn at least half the libertarian/Johnson/Ron-Paul votes in 2020. If he performs as promised.

The other half are anarchists anyway.

If all the Johnson vote in NM had gone to Trump, Trump would have takes those five electoral votes by 5,000 or so.

The Libertarian Party today has 2 core values - the right to smoke pot and the right to stick foreign objects up the butt. That is pretty much it...

Perhaps and it really doesn’t matter.

Personally, I wish they would have more than 2 parties at the final debates for the sake of keeping things fair.

I was going to challenge the final contention about Maine, but checking the data, Johnson/Weld garnered 38,000 votes wear as the difference between Trump and Clinton was 22,000. Almost 24,000 voters left the president choice blank.

Yes,that's a logical conclusion to reach. It's also logical to believe that Nader cost algore the WH in 2000.And although many disagree (including many here) Perot cost Bush Sr reelection in ‘92.

I disagree. The Libertarians were co-opted by the Socialists; people who voted Lib would have voted Dem, for the most part.

Besides, I don’t think this is a big deal. Libertarians siphon off some percentage of the vote every election.

Ironically, the few genuine libertarians I know voted for Hillary.

Because she is supposedly more moderate, smarter, knows the system, won’t rock the boat, and the-devil-you-know.

she’s going to jail for 8 years, then she will be deported to Mexico. But her lawyer says it was “Trump mindset” that caused the lengthy sentence. Gee, I’ve never seen “Trump mindset” as matter of law.

With Jeff Sessions as our AG, we will see a lot more ot the Trump mindset, aka, obeying federal laws or go to jail!

And although many disagree (including many here) Perot cost Bush Sr reelection in ‘92.

The second choice of most Perot voters was Clinton according to polls, so the assumption is that those votes would have gone to Clinton if Perot didn't run.

The counterargument is that having Perot in the race weakened the loyalties that voters had to Reagan and Bush in earlier elections and made Clinton's election possible. Also predictions of the election results based on purely economic data tended to favor Bush's reelection.

It's hard to say. Bush might have pulled it off if Perot weren't in (and out of and back in) the race attacking him every day. But Bush was a lot less popular than many Republicans assumed, and support for the Republicans in the eighties wasn't as deep or wide-spread or long-lasting as many on the right believed.

In short, if the Johnson-Weld ticket had not run, Donald Trump would have won the popular vote.

Libertarians have run in every election since 1972. They weren't going to not run. And they were going to go with the candidate with the most name recognition and political viability. So they were unavoidably going to be a factor.

Trump would have had to win more than half the Libertarian vote to beat Hillary -- something closer to two-thirds (if I did the math right). He might take half the Johnson vote, but probably not two-thirds. Take Evan McMullin out of the race and add his total to half of Johnson's and Trump could have taken the popular vote.

If either Johnson or McMullin hadn't run, Trump could have taken Minnesota. Johnson could also have cost Trump Nevada, New Hampshire, and even Maine. Given the craziness of the election, you could turn that around and argue that Johnson and Stein cost Clinton Michigan or Pennsylvania or Florida or Arizona.

Trump won the popular vote.

Liberals lie. Fake facts.

Democrats keep counting only one side until they meet their lie quota.

Trump’s speaking style is awsome as it is success oriented.

Some people project their own failure styles, like illegal migrants want to move here while bringing their national failures along.

Trump was duly elected and he best keep his eye on the ball regarding what will get him re-elected rather than let his ego get baited by such trivia matters of a PAST election that can’t be changed.
