The Dem reply is going to be, “It’s just a couple of dozen bad apples. The rate of criminality is lower than in the population at large.” Just wait and see.

Of course, each terrorist plotter might be good for 50 deaths rather than one or two, but that complicates the math for them.

This isn’t good to say, but we are in dire needs right now...so here goes:

I hope one of these ‘24’ bad apples, rape, kills, set fire to, one of those Judges kin, then maybe they will understand that they really are ‘ a snake: you knew what I was when you took me in’...

Many of these 24 came in before the buildup of ISIS and when we thought that we could reasonably vet them. In the current timeframe, ISIS is way more virulent and our ability to vet people from these countries has evaporated. So if we let them keep coming in there is likely to be a much higher proportion of terrorist types among them. You can't always simply linearly extrapolate the past to the future.

As Ben Carson said and I like to quote, it would be professional malpractice on the part of ISIS to not try to infiltrate as many of their people as possible into the refugee stream while they cannot be properly vetted. We are talking about management of forward risk here, not history.
