President Obama was criticized by Republicans for attending a church led by Jeremiah Wright, who repeatedly criticized the United States for being, in his own opinion, an evil terrorist nation. People wondered, how could Obama sit through sermons like that, year after year? Didn't that mean that at the very least, Obama didn't have any serious problems with what Wright was saying?
Well, we saw after eight years of Obama that that was probably true – that Obama saw America in a bad light. That's why he kept trying to "fundamentally transform" it.
But what about Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch? He belongs to a far-left church that embraces marriage redefinition, gun control, and the theory of man-caused global warming.
He belongs to St. John's Episcopal Church in Boulder, Colo., the Episcopal diocese of Colorado confirmed on Wednesday. Church bulletins show that the judge has been an usher three times in recent months. His wife Louise frequently leads the intercessory prayer and reads the weekly Scripture at Sunday services, and his daughters assist in ceremonial duties during church services as acolytes.
The first word that St. John's uses to describe itself on its website and Facebook page is "inclusive," and the church is led by a female rector. On its website, the church encourages members to write letters to Congress asking for actions addressing climate change.
That's not all. Its website also calls for members to lobby their congressmen for more gun control.
Rev. Susan Springer has said she is pro-gay marriage and offers blessings to same-sex couples
The church's Rev. Ted Howard also signed a letter slamming the 'disrespectful rhetoric' directed at Islam as Trump floated a ban on Muslim immigrants[.] ...

Exactly. There are literally millions of Catholics right now waiting out the fake Pope hoping the Catholic Church returns to its teachings.
HA!
Now, we must hope that the nutters on our side don’t drive off your mother’s vote and support!
If he did, the MSM would never cease to hammer him about it.
The congregation was stunned and grateful when it became clear that I, you know, actually believed that Jesus is the Son of God who died in an entirely sufficient sacrifice for our sins and who imbues us with grace by the working of the Holy Spirit in many ways including the efficacious sacramental pledges.
In other words, they believed — though incoherently because they had been poorly taught and faithlessly shepherded — though their rector was going through the motions.
So I would almost expect that Gorsuch would be more devout and orthodox than his oh so trendy pastor.
old one HERE....
ARE U A MEMBER OF ANY ORGANISED RELIGION ??
No, I’m a Baptist ......
Here in The South we have Baptists of every shape, color, size and whatever beliefs...............
There’s an article in the WaPo regarding Pelosi saying his record shows he has tried to weaken gun laws.j
Not really concerned. The Mainline Churches in the US are all leftist in their leadership, but the people serving from the pews are a good cross-section of Protestant Christianity. Not a cross-section of America since we are fast becoming a Post-Christian nation as the Naturalists find their voice to speak up for their various beliefs: atheism, anti-theism, Buddhism, paganism, etc.
The fact that he humbly serves in his church is more important than where he serves.
Is there a conservative church in Boulder?
1. Because you've always belonged to it.
2. Because it reflects your class level.
3. Because your business colleagues are there.
4. Because your wife likes it, and you care about what your wife likes.
5. Because you like the way the sanctuary looks, and/or the way the music sounds.
There are other possibilities, to be sure, but we have not yet reached the point in the US where church attendance is considered a seditious act, so people do not always go to churches because of the church's specific relationship to Christian orthodoxy or orthopraxis. They should, but often they don't.
“Arent you criticizing Trump by suggesting that his Supreme Court candidate is unsatisfactory or even erroneous?”
I am thoroughly enjoying Trump and support him 100%. But it is day by day, decision by decision. I will criticize him the minute he veers off the beam. We own him no personal loyalty. He only deserves that when he performs as as we put him there to do.
LOL
[[The fact that it was leaked is not his fault.]]
Nope- but meeting with a lying disgraceful blabbermouth liberal who would exploit anything negative said about Trump at the first drop of a hat was his fault
You win!
Bol!
Yours is a valid point. To that I would say - is Sotomayor attending mass regularly? At all? I doubt it. Nancy Pelosi likes to cite her Catholic Faith, but we all know its nonsense. We know there are many leftists, who are fake traditionalists - but does the opposite exist? Surface leftists who are actually strict traditionalists?
Does Gorsuch believe what his church teaches?
Are you?
Hmm. In the People’s Republic of Boulderistan no less.
Interesting “culture” to choose to live in.
My point was that it is inconsistent to use “criticizing Trump” as a point against Judge Gorsuch while doing precisely the same thing oneself.
RE: Are you?
See Post #77 above.
Also see Post #85 above.
Those are my reactions.
