The American Civil Liberties Union vowed to sue Jeff Sessions if he violates the Constitution immediately after he was confirmed by the Senate as attorney general.
If he violates the Constitution, well sue, the ACLU tweeted on Wednesday night.
The ACLU made the first successful lawsuit against the Trump administration in late January when it filed a complaint on behalf of two men who were detained at an airport as a result of Trumps controversial executive order.
A federal judge filed an emergency stay on parts of the executive order at the time as a result.
The group has received a flood of donations and is setting itself up as one of the key players in coming legal fights over Trump's agenda.
Sessions was confirmed by the Senate after a contentious, all-night debate about his nomination. Sessions, a senator from Alabama, was eventually confirmed in a 52-47 vote.
The vote came after Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) was barred from speaking on the Senate floor against Sessions Tuesday night. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said her speech, in which she was reading a letter by Coretta Scott King against Sessions's federal judgeship nomination in the 1980s, was impugning another member of the Senate.

The leftist ACLU and The Hill can't wait to demean new Attorney General Jeff Sessions for more than a couple hours after his confirmation plus the commies at the hill couldn't have selected a worse photo of a man with integrity.

Yeah, like they did with Eric Holder.
To: jazusamo
My guess is that Sessions has more knowledge of the Constitution than the ACLU...

The ACLU is full of blowhards who always seem to be on the wrong side of the law unless you consider that George Soros provides part of their funding then it all makes sense.
To: jazusamo
And if ACLU breaks the law, Sessions will arrest them and throw them in jail.

I wouldn’t say the ACLU filed a successful lawsuit until there is a final judgment. Merely getting a restraining order or injunction is not the end.
Too bad the ACLU wasn’t as concerned over the shenanigans of Holder or Lynch.

The American Civil Liberties Union vowed to sue Jeff Sessions if he violates the Constitution How would the ACLU know? All they know is whether they approve or disapprove of whatever's been done.

I hope that George Soros has a paper with his name on it waiting for Jeff’s signature.
