Exactly right, and the problem now....Trump blinked. Now the left is massively emboldened.
Remember, the Californians have threatened to block the “Wall” by legal tactics.
Trump should have just laughed at them and carried on punching them in the face. Yeah, the media would have screamed bloody murder....for a day or two.... but in order to keep up with Trump they have to change their “outrage” every day.
There is only one other thing that I can think of, that would invalidate what I feel. And that would be that Trump has “set up” the court system for a massive and embarrassing failure, so he doesn’t need to ever deal with the courts like this again. I certainly hope this is the case, because otherwise I’m afraid I’ve given Trump too much credit til now.

In fact, he could have accomplished everything laid out in the Executive Order without ever issuing it -- simply by having the Dept. of Homeland Security stop allowing people from those seven nations to enter the U.S. without any fanfare at all.
The whole purpose of the EO was to set up a public battle with the Federal courts over an issue where most Americans -- and 100% of the people who voted for Trump -- are on Trump's side.
They will try to block everything Trump has the power to do using legal tactics.
I know. I feel the same way. But, as I’ve told myself time and time again, he has a very smart brain and I’m sure he knows what he’s doing. There is no way he would allow them to usurp this and just go, ok whatever. He had to have known he would be facing the judiciary at some point. As someone pointed out, there are myriad ways to change the wording and accomplish the task. He’s leaving it dangle out there, probably cuz he likes showing up the courts.
