More than 25,000 officers have been “war placed” as the Scandinavian nation bolsters its national defences against potential threats.
The order was given by the police chief at the end of January as every police officer is expected to know their role if a war or crisis should erupt.
The decision to implement the Government order, which was taken in 2015 after Russia invaded Ukraine and illegally annexed Crimea, affects 28,500 police officers.
Most of the officers will remain in their current roles and counties, even if an emergency situation should occur, however, some might be ordered to serve in the armed forces.
Ready for invasion from Putin, completely ignore invasion from Muslim immigrants.

Russia, then the Soviet Union, then Russia again have always had a large force structure oriented on the Baltic region. That article did not, nor did any other article that I could find in a web search, indicate any sort of increased threat in general and definitely not one that was poised against Sweden. And the fact that there was an ongoing conflict in Ukraine and the Crimea has no bearing on Sweden suddenly getting paranoid.
It's almost as if the Swedish government is trying to take the focus off their internal problems with Islam by waving the bloody flag ...

Fortunately Russia has agreed not to invade Swedish No Go Zones, so the Swedish Police will be able to confront the Russians.
Yes, and their own top of the line weapons industry. Saab fighter aircraft, Bofors guns, etc. In a fight between them and Russian conscripts I’d expect Ivan to get bloodied. Sweden is not a NATO member so, like the Swiss, they can’t rely on Uncle Sam to back them up.

The main reason for Swedish defense spending is to promote their ability to sell weapons to other countries, not to counter any actual threat these days. Its a feel-good traditional thing, and a sales brochure. Nothing else.

Much of this is the continuing fall out from Putin’s attack on Ukraine, his ongoing war against that nation, the leaked war plans of the Putin war gaming, the invasion of several nations airspace by Putin’s air force, and the submarines Putin sent in to Swedish territorial waters.
Are the “migrants” ready to take up arms to defend their new homeland? LOL!
