Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg says she would support changing the Electoral College.
There are some things I would like to change, one is the Electoral College, she said late Monday at Stanford Law School in California, according to CNN.
But that would require a constitutional amendment, and amending our Constitution is powerfully hard to do, she added.
Ginsburg also lamented partisan divisions in Congress, which she said hurt the confirmation process for justices. I wish there was a way I could wave a magic wand and put back when people were respectful of each other and the Congress was working for the good of the country and not just along party lines, she said.
Someday there will be great people, great elected representatives who will say, enough of this nonsense, lets be the kind of legislature the United States should have, the 83-year-old judge added. "I hope that day will come when Im still alive.
Ginsburgs remarks follow President Trumps nomination of Judge Neil Gorsuch to fill the Supreme Courts vacancy left by the death of Justice Antonin Scalia. Gorsuch sits on Colorados 10th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals.

Clearly she does not understand her job.
Hopefully she exits before that comes up.
Liberal judges change the Constitution all the time.
I would back her stepping down as soon as possible.
Thanks, Ruth. Those of us in KY will get right on that constitutional amendment!
Like that, right?
She didn’t say she was in favor of doing it judicially, but via Constitutional amendment. She’s just speaking to her own policy preferences (which are wrong).
She is concerned with the partisan nature of congress??????
She site on one of the most partisan Supreme Courts in history.....sheesh
She was awake, but clearly not sober.
There should be some limit on Supreme Court justice’s terms.
The constitution has never meant much to her.
Ruthie, does the name Robert Bork ring a bell with you?
Don’t expect anything different from an ACLU hack.
She is concerned with the partisan nature of congress??????
She sits on one of the most partisan Supreme Courts in history.....sheesh
In other words...she hates that Republicans are in control of all the White House and Congress and soon to be SCOTUS.
I blame the rancor we see in politics on Ted Kennedy in his tantrum against Judge Bork. I really think that's when the modern era of partisanship began. Dims saw SCOTUS moving to a super majority of conservatives and the demise of their pet issue: the "legal right" to murder the unborn child.
Why bother calling her an American?
Her loyalty to the American Republic is non-existent. She neither understands nor agrees with it.
Why should we care what she thinks?
So-Called Justice
Go back to sleep, senile idiot.
She’s also the one that said we should bring in more European law in our country. Hey, Ruth...FOAD!
She doesn't understand anything about this country. Not our constitution, our government or the American people. She's a damned communist.
