When I was a child, he taught me more about politics than most politicians or pundits at the time.
I didn’t agree with his beliefs, but he was a funny, funny man.
RIP, professor.

His classic shtick was when he would answer questions, like “Why is the sky blue?” and his answer was “That’s a two part question, first is WHY which is the ultimate question” and he would drivel on for several minutes about the word WHY and then he would say, “the second part of the question IS THE SKY BLUE? and the answer is yes!”

I believe he was a proud, unabashed communist.

See #12. He was a full blown commie.
A photograph of Mr. Corey, far left,
with Fidel Castro hangs in Mr. Coreys
home.

I wasn’t trying to convince you. I was supporting what you and others said on the thread about him (being a communist).

I remember that poem, then the song, also. Eighth grade English.

The guy writing forward and backward at the same time, and who had a system of mnemonic devices to help children to remember facts, was none other than basketball great, Jerry Lucas.

My dad has a photo of him, I think it dates to the early ‘60s. He’s campaigning with the slogan “Throw the bum in.”

Irwin Corey, the comic maestro who endeared himself to generations of audiences as the Worlds Foremost Authority, whose nonsensical monologues aped blowhard pundits, pompous academics and other know-it-alls... A little known fact the good Professor had a full time job, the last 30 years, trying to keep up with the "climate change" criminal imbeciles.

Corey, Phillis Diller, Bill Dana “My name...Jose Jimenez”, Bob Newhart and the Smothers Brothers got their start at the Purple Onion nightclub in San Francisco. Improv comedy got a big push from The committee who played at the old indoor bocce ball courts on Broadway St. in North Beach. Yah, they were all commies. That’s when conservatives started giving the farm away to leftists across the entertainment spectrum. Up to that point lefties fought for their gains. We abdicated our role in culture and are now paying the price.
