Less than a million cars and commercial vehicles manufactured in China in 2015 were exported. Better grasp for another straw.

I'm not sure the original question is even all that important in the context of this discussion. The U.S. is a very mature market with almost as many registered vehicles as there are people living here. China's market has much more upside simply because they have far more people with 0 cars to their name than we do.

You will probably find that almost every durable product that Americans take for granted in their daily lives (washing machines, computers, TVs, etc.) is sold in larger quantities in China simply because of this underlying factor.
