If they vote her down, appoint a czar to oversee the closing of the Dept of Education. Just explain that it is clear the Democrats do not see the Dept of Education as a big deal since seating someone isn’t in their best interest. Then talk about how since the Dept is closed down, and the Democrats hate children, children will now be allowed to select any school they want to go to.

If DeVos is not confirmed I would love to see the position left unfilled, and begin shutting down Education. It is the most unnecessary of all cabinet level agencies.

It would be fun to hear Trump say: "Well, since we don't have someone to head up the Department of Education, apparently it's not needed. I am therefore submitting my EO eliminating the Dept., effective immediately.

We’re really only have this FIGHT because we did not do a thing about the garbage the Teachers’ Unions were teaching our kids.

They are terrified the new Secretary will destroy all their hard word at de-sensitizing; de-moralizing; and de-clarifying the founding of our country.

I'm a recently retired 30 year teacher and I agree. Never once in my 30 years did I ever hear a coworker or administrator praise the federal DOE; most often it was the opposite. Now they are all out defending the status quo they use to rail against.

Interestingly we also know a teacher with less than 5 years experience. She sounds like she is parroting NEA talking points.

If the RATS don’t allow this to be filled, then, by all means, accept their verdict and immediately shut down the Department of Education and fire all employees.
