America is running low on bacon

WASHINGTON (NEWS10) – The country’s bacon reserves are at the lowest level in half a century.
The demand for bacon is outpacing the supply and pig farmers just can’t keep up with the world’s appetite for it.
Right now, the U.S. inventory is 7.8 million pounds, the lowest since 1957.
They’re not going to run out but expected to be paying more for bacon.

Here in Florida wild boars are a big problem and it seems this could solve that issue unless wild boars don’t taste the same as farm raised hogs. Either way it seems there would be plenty of bacon to go around if there was a market for wild board bacon...

The breed of hogs I raise are called "Bacon Pigs". I have yet to find a frying pan to accommodate the slices for frying.
