America is running low on bacon

WASHINGTON (NEWS10) – The country’s bacon reserves are at the lowest level in half a century.
The demand for bacon is outpacing the supply and pig farmers just can’t keep up with the world’s appetite for it.
Right now, the U.S. inventory is 7.8 million pounds, the lowest since 1957.
They’re not going to run out but expected to be paying more for bacon.

I have probably 12-15 pounds in my freezer.
When I see it for less than $3.50/lb, I grab a couple of extra pounds.

Wow. I had no idea.... Muslims may have found out that bacon was mighty tasty!
I’ve about a dozen cans of canned bacon in my reserves.
I used to eat over a pound of bacon at breakfast when I was in my early 20’s. Love it.
