'I still have your money': JK Rowling replies to Trump supporter
The Telegraph ^ | 1/31/17 | Helena Horton

JK Rowling smacked down someone on Twitter who appeared angry at her statement about Mike Pence.

The author replied to someone who said they were going to burn her books and films in response to her tweeting a Bible verse at the Vice President.

They said: "Glad I caught this article on Yahoo. Now I will burn your books and movies too".

And she replied: "Well, the fumes from the DVDs might be toxic and I've still got your money, so by all means borrow my lighter".

No, the socialists burn OTHER people's books.

Conservatives do what they want with their own property.

Rowling was sufficiently “conservative” until she made her pile.

Then she converted to full “progressive”.

Sad.

Just shows how these liberals think..they don’t care about the consumer..just about stuffing their pockets with cash..and they laugh at us all the way to the bank.

I'll kindly disagree with you, Sarah.

Liberals have principles and like making money, too.

Most "conservatives" worship the dollar above all else. See the current GOP establishment.

The "Conservatives" have sacrificed the American nation and its middle class on the alters of the Chamber of Commerce and sham global free trade.

If these same open border, Govt loving liberal celebrities had to give up 80 percent of their wealth to the Govt they would become Conservative in a blink of an eye..I remember when Will Smith went to France I believe and they told him how much of their wealth gets deducted in taxes he was shocked I think he even replied “Good thing I don’t live here”

Actually it’s not a good line. Rowling reveals herself to be mired in the same childish, self-centered “I’ve got one up on you” attitude that defines the culture that was so easily bewitched by her stories.

And that the meaning of her life centers around money.

I’ve never been able to get a leftist to state a real principle that they hold. What they do hold are notions, biases, and agendas.

As you know true principles are immutable - they are enduring and based in reason, not emotion. Notions and agendas are fleeting and fickle. Biases may be enduring but they are hardly rational.

I don’t doubt that one exists....somewhere.

Oh, and if he’s worshiping money he ain’t a conservative.

well, that mindset of burning something you bought, whether Rawlins or Ralph Lauren, is silly, so she’s right there. But if she writes another book or another movie is made from one of them, sales may suffer. I’ve never bought a single one of her books.

Why, might I ask, does this Brit think her opinion on US politics has an effect?

I’d respond, “For now. You welfare queens are too stupid to keep it. You’ll be broke soon enough.”

Remember what a big fad Lord of the Rings was back in the 60’s, early 70’s?

Imagine Lord of the Rings for the tween set, replete with characters they can objectify and identify with, villains they can understand and reflective of their real or imagined experiences ... that sort of thing.

Throw in the saucy dialogue, clever(ish) wordplay, and you have mind crack for the younger set.
