wo Saudi frigate crew members died and three were injured in a suicide attack by Houthi militants west of Hudaydah, Yemen, state-run Saudi Press Agency reported.
The warship came "under a terrorist attack" Monday while on patrol in the Red Sea west of the port of Hodeida, SPA reported. One boat collided with the back of the frigate, causing an explosion, according to the agency.
But the Houthi-controlled news agency, l-Masira, reported the warship was hit by a guided missile the Houthis launched from the base island of Zuqar, between Yemen and Eritrea.

I wonder if this is a “oh Shiite” moment for Iran? The Saudis cannot be very happy with Iran right now.
They were right....it was guided and became a missile...................
I wish the Iranians would just knock the living hell out of the Saudis. It wasn’t the Iranians that killed 3000 on 9/11. It was the Saudi sponsored Wahhabi plane hijackers!!
It is surprising that Iran has not attacked Saudi oil facilities.
That would invite a counter-strike, and last I heard, the Iranians have all of one refinery producing gasoline.
I wonder if the victims were Saudi. I spent a short time on a Bahraini frigate (an old OHP class) helping them prepare for a missile shot, and much of the crew was foreign. Only the officers and a few key personnel were Bahraini. Many, if not most jobs on a ship are considered “below” an Arab, so they hire Paki’s and other immigrants to do them.
If that happened the proxy wars between Saudi Arabia and Iran would become a hot war between the two.
Not sure if this is still true but I read lots of Paks in the Saudi Armed forces.
Ya, but the Saudis aren’t on the EO. Not that they don’t deserve it. But we can point to Iran as justification for the EO. After all, Iran is at war with an ally and probably wishes the US citizens harm as well.
Ya... with them lobbing nukes at each other... in the not so distant future.
Good point. That would be a complete provocation and although Iran likes to saber rattle a lot, they also like the support of the majority at the UN.
Next time they'll send this bad boy.
Iran has missiles that can reach Saudi and not the other way around. Saudi oil facilities face Iran across the Gulf only a short distance away. The reason Iran is quiet is that Saudi is protected by the US.
Wonder if the Saudis already have nukes?
This is my rifle,
this is my gun,
nothing seems to work,
not either one.
Supposedly, Saudis have an agreement with Pakistan concerning the possible use of nukes.
Yup. More to the story....
