Never one to refrain from speaking out on political issues, Starbucks (SBUX) CEO Howard Schultz took to his soap box on Sunday evening and fired back at the Trump administration following its controversial immigration ban.
"I write to you today with deep concern, a heavy heart and a resolute promise," Schultz said in a new blog post, adding, "We are living in an unprecedented time, one in which we are witness to the conscience of our country, and the promise of the American Dream, being called into question."
Housed in Schultz's missive were a host of interesting nuggets. Schultz said Starbucks is developing plans to hire 10,000 refugees over the next five years across the 75 countries globally where it does business. Starbucks will begin its hiring focus in the U.S. -- sending a clear message to Trump -- via those people who have served with U.S. troops as interpreters and support personnel in various countries where U.S. forces have sought support.
.....
People quickly took to TheStreet's Facebook page to voice their opinion on Schultz's comments, with some calling for a boycott.
Byron Fairchild How about hiring 10,000 Americans at home first!!!😡 Glad I only buy at Big B coffee.

Isn’t this exactly what people said about these pro-immigrant supporters?
These companies are simply looking for the cheapest labor possible (even Starbucks) - and forcing blacks & hispanics out.
I’ve bought my last Starbucks latte.
Will save my money and buy my own espresso machine.
Won’t break my heart to give up my 6 buck a day habit.
$12 saved so far.

We have a small coffee/donut shop franchise in our area, and if I want coffee out, that’s where I go. I went through the Starbucks drivethu once, because I wanted a bagel, which they didn’t carry, so I just drove on through. I can understand a donut shop not carrying bagels, but a coffee shop should have bagels, IMHO. (Now I make my own bagels-— yummy)
Have never been to a Starbucks. Primarily because folks that have been say the product is overpriced and the “just coffee” drinks suck.
Starbucks barista = bookstore cashier-in-training. More mindless drivel and unearned pomposity.
They’re going to sink like a stone.
In six months, they’ll start closing all over the place.
Globalist CEO Howie needs some decaf. Toss him in the harbor. Oh...wait...
“Behead Together”
For ten years, my local Starbucks baristas were like family; but the arrogance of this clown Schults finally exceeded my tolerance, and I need to search elsewhere for coffee drinks.
Will demand my Gold Card Balance and Drink elsewhere. Pity. My local Starbucks is less than 5 minutes away.
No more dealing with a doubling of price every few years;
No more reading his sanctimonious bullshit about how much he helps charitable causes worldwide, on my behalf.
How about not overcharging me and let me choose my own charities, a*****e?
That a-hole is pissing on the communities his stores are taking money from.
Every 7th cup of coffee is free at 7-11. There’s an app for that.
Oh,yes, we don’t have the right to protest-only snowflakes!
Are you sure it's not Kopi Luwak?
AKA cat poop coffee?
Moonbats with disposable income will buy anything!
Costa Rican coffee IMHO is the best out there with Sumatran coming in a distant 2nd. I prefer a dark roast and I enjoy my coffee black.
Allahu akbarista!
Lets see how much money we can cost him!
Starbucks shares tumble on lowest same-store sales growth since 2009

How many of these rich CEOs and celebrities who denounce Trump’s move have actually taken refugees into their homes. They can afford it, so what’s stopping them?
HORRID TASTE, and I like good strong coffee. I’ve had 1 partial cup, had to throw the crap out, it was the only coffee available before I took a quilting tour on vacation. Even motel coffee taste better.
I think that most Conservatives have boycotted Starbucks already. Every couple of years they do something to piss us off and they lose a few more customers. Also, a lot of people don’t like the taste. What Schultz is doing now most likely is just reinforcing the loyalty of the current customers.
