Never one to refrain from speaking out on political issues, Starbucks (SBUX) CEO Howard Schultz took to his soap box on Sunday evening and fired back at the Trump administration following its controversial immigration ban.
"I write to you today with deep concern, a heavy heart and a resolute promise," Schultz said in a new blog post, adding, "We are living in an unprecedented time, one in which we are witness to the conscience of our country, and the promise of the American Dream, being called into question."
Housed in Schultz's missive were a host of interesting nuggets. Schultz said Starbucks is developing plans to hire 10,000 refugees over the next five years across the 75 countries globally where it does business. Starbucks will begin its hiring focus in the U.S. -- sending a clear message to Trump -- via those people who have served with U.S. troops as interpreters and support personnel in various countries where U.S. forces have sought support.
.....
People quickly took to TheStreet's Facebook page to voice their opinion on Schultz's comments, with some calling for a boycott.
Byron Fairchild How about hiring 10,000 Americans at home first!!!😡 Glad I only buy at Big B coffee.

Here is what I really would like someone to as these CEO’s. How many refugees have you hired from these 7 states in the last year.
I’ve been boycotting FIveBucks for going on 8 years now.
Schultz better shut up before he sees stars and no bucks
Bad taste
Gee I can’t wait to order my next latte from Jihadists.
FUSB
I wish I had power here, but I’m too smart to spend $5 for a cup of coffee in the first place.
Lots of places to buy excellent coffee beans online.
Been very pleased with http://www.kilicoffeeroasters.com/ for Kenya beans.
Costs just 2 dollars/pound more, delivered, than purchased at Starbucks.
I used to buy their French Roast ground when it was on sale, no more.
Yes! I almost wish I ever patronized that overpriced joint just so I could stop doing so.
Once we teach a few of these pompous corporate a-holes the folly of insulting the productive half of the American populace we might get a bit of well deserved peace and quiet!
...which I've been doing for decades.
We just started issuing Starbuck’s gift certificates to our customers as part of thank yous. No more. I’m all in for boycotting Starbucks and any company that wants to start playing politics and undermining President Trump and the American people.
He could be in for a rude awakening with sales in the Bible Belt - I don’t go there, but some churches even have their own franchises I think.
Starbucks makes expensive coffee. Trumps makes our nation great. Get it???
Boycott Starbucks. Overpriced cr@p.
Somali pirates would be good too
Charbucks sucks. I’d boycott if it wasn’t already a crap product.
Coffee sux.
Like their oatmeal and lemon loaf, when I can afford to splurge a bit.
I am in the mood to boycott though, and Fartbux is a good place to start.
