Ted Cruz Statement on Firing of Acting Attorney General
Facebook ^

Posted on 01/30/2017 8:03:02 PM PST by springwater13

After eight long years of a lawless Obama Department of Justice, it is fitting--and sad--that the very last act of the Obama DOJ is for the Acting AG to defy the newly elected President, refuse to enforce the law, and force the President to fire her. Sally Yates now joins the ignominious succession, from Eric Holder to Loretta Lynch, of Attorneys General who put brazen partisan interests above fidelity to law.

President Trump was exactly right to fire an acting Attorney General who refused to carry out her constitutional duty to enforce and defend the law. Yates’ lawless partisanship highlights why the Senate needs to act now--and Senate Democrats should end their extreme political obstruction and delay--and confirm Jeff Sessions immediately. America needs and deserves an Attorney General who will be faithful to the Constitution and uphold the law.

It will be interesting to see how the 2018 primary
unfolds with regards to Cruz opponents.

People need to remember that Ted’s dad was involved in the JFK conspiracy.

Careful . . . this thread has more people whining about what Cruz said about Trump during the Primary, and fewer about what Trump said about Cruz.

Cruz may make it in on name recognition but it won’t be with my help. I don’t forget or forgive easily.

Are you hearing names of any potential opponents mentioned?

Cruz is a sleazy utterly untrustworthy con man, period!

The good thing about Cruz is he is obtuse and has no street brains, so he will self destruct with a wee nudge from Trump : )

I wonder if they lambasted Reagan as much when he refused to endorse Ford? Naaahhh that’d be what we call hypocrisy

Reagan was actually a conservative..nothing to lambaste him about, that is until he let the Bushites forced themselves onto his winning nomination. There is no comparison between Cruz and President Reagan.. Harvard Law school graduates make lousy leaders.

Cruz’ big mistake was hiring Jeff Roe as campaign manager. Cruz wanted the evangelical vote, and Roe was a sure way not to get it. Roe has an established reputation, and it is win-at-any-cost, including the use of lies, smears and gutter politics. His style and Christianity are a bad mix at best.

If Cruz had avoided Roe like the plague, he’d have ended up doing far better. Roe is most effective on statewide campaigns. He does all the same dirty tricks, but by the time the voters catch on the election is over. That doesn’t work in a national campaign. Roe won IA, but ethical questions dogged Cruz afterward, and state by state they only intensified.

There had to be a better fit for Cruz where managers are concerned. It’s a shame he didn’t connect with one of them.

Of course. We can split the cost of fuel.

Hope you don’t mind. I’d like to settle up after the trip.

LOL

While I don’t think he was, it is amazing to see him pictured with Oswald. You’ve got to admit that is an amazing photo.

If I remember correctly, he seemed to be more recessive than Oswald out front engaging people. He was standing by the wall seemingly just hanging out.

Do you remember the date of that photo by any chance?

That’s my take as well.

I’m pretty verbal about him. I don’t want what he did last year to simply vaporize.

I don’t think he could do anything that would turn his faithful flock off. After last year, that’s pretty much obvious.

This nation could have gone down the tubes, and he would still have their support.

Loyalties? Where do they really lie?

Now we know.

Many thanks for proving, yet again that you're hampered by reading comprehension and also that you cherry-pick, just like CBS/NBC/ABC.

Thankfully, I don't know you in REAL LIFE; sadly, I do now "know you", on line. Neither do I actually, "KNOW" you, really, on line...you're just someone out there, who could be living in Russia, Brazil, or North Korea, for all I know.

Now just go back to slurping down all of the CRUZ-AIDE you're blind drunk on. *snicker*

No, it was in the National Enquirer initially. I don’t know if you can search their site and find it or not.

Capped off with revealing the worst judgement ever, by blaming Trump for the violence outside his events, Ted destroyed himself. I’ll never trust him on the SCOTUS now.

I agree that was a mindless judgment, no doubt a retaliation for the insults Trump threw at Cruz. Even today, many of the so-called "moderates" in our nation, some of whom voted against Hillary, are not aware that Hillary's goon squads were worse than Nixon's. At least Nixon's minions did not injure anybody.

I confess that I am a Hillary Hater. But I am glad that Cruz defended and voted for Sessions in committee.

Cruz gets no credit from me for doing what a Conservative should.

It’s like being a nice person in life. Should that person get a medal? Should people walk up and pat them on the back every day. Oh you’re so great?

You get that kind of salutation after living a good life, or even at special events honoring them.

Some folks think Ted deserves some sort of national recognition each time he takes a breath.

Trump’s nominees will be passed through. Each on will.

If Ted keeps his mouth shut, even single one will be approved.

So what is Ted doing by opening his yap?

It’s like this. Ted cut off his own Conservative legs last year. He refused to jump on board the Trump train until his voice was almost non-existent, when it would be the least help.

When Trump won, Ted was in a pickle. All of a sudden it dawned on him, he’d be aced out for four years as leader of the Conservative movement. He had to do something.

The only thing he could do is act the part of a Freshman, praising every move of the Senior Class President every chance he got.

So now Ted praises Trumps moves as if to say, this is just what you would have gotten if you hadn’t screwed up and put Trump in instead of me.

Trump is ten times the president Cruz could ever have been.

Little Teddy can prance around saying, “Look at me, look at me!” All he wants.

Some of us have him pegged and we’ll never forget last year.

He’s as useless as a third tit.

Your criticism of Ted’s idiotic comments about Trump rallies is absolutely appropriate. However, I think Trump also talks too much sometimes. We need both Trump and Cruz at their best now to defeat all the evil forces that have usurped power.
